White shepherd mix Seeker has a new family

White shepherd mix Seeker is looking for a family to love
Seeker needs a loving home. Westport Animal Control

Seeker is a handsome white shepherd mix (has fur similar to that of a Chesapeake Bay retriever) of approximately six months of age. He approaches everyone with a wagging tail and peers into every car hopefully as he seeks his new loving home. Seeker appears to get along well with other dogs and is an excellent walking partner. He likes to snooze in the car too. Seeker is a puppy that will require someone willing to take the time to exercise him and fully housebreak him but he certainly is worth the effort as he is a gorgeous sweet pup. Please call Westport Animal Control (203-341-5076) to schedule a time to meet Seeker.

She would make a wonderful Winslow Park or Compo Beach addition. Cindy is learning her manners and is learning quickly (such a smart girl). I’m Mac and I Have a New Family

Mac the dog needs a new home
Hi, I’m Mac! Connecticut Humane Society

What a big goof!  Mac has a big personality to go with with his rather large body!! He was abandoned and left chained to a large propane tank when the weather was incredibly hot (100 degrees plus). He had tried his best to dig under the tank to lay on the coolness of the earth. You can tell, however, that at one time he was very loved and given a lot of time and attention. He is very sweet with everyone although his size can be intimidating. When he gets excited he makes a very fast chomping sound and motion with his mouth … it is too cute! He needs a lot of attention and some work on his doggy manners. Someone forgot to tell him he’s not tiny anymore! He was seen being walked by a child of about 8 years old and he did very well with her. She seemed to be the chief caregiver to the animal. Given the chance, Mac will make a fast forever friend. Come and meet him at the Westport branch of the Connecticut Humane Society.

Sam Has a New Family!

shih tzu mix Sam needs a new home
Hi, I’m Sam! Westport Animal Control

Sam is a swell little shih tzu mix who was left tied to the doorknob at a local shelter and subsequently transferred to Westport Animal Control. He is approximately 2 to 3 years of age. He is very friendly and has quickly made himself at home with the Animal Control officers. He is always quick to greet people with a “smile” and vigorously wagging tail. It’s hard to believe that someone would have willingly abandoned this special fellow because he is one fine companion dog. If you have time to devote to Sam and are looking for a dog that wants to be a big part of your life, then please contact Westport Animal Control at (203)341-5076 to set up a time to meet him. Because of his small size and his tendency to be underfoot, a home with older children would be best for him.

I’m Graham and I Have a New Home Now

chocolate lab/shepherd/husky mix Graham needs a home
Hi, I’m Graham! The Little Pink Shelter

Chocolate Graham was found in the middle of a street in a neighborhood in Arkansas where no one would admit to owning him or his sister—including the family who owned a female dog who looked exactly like his sister. Graham is about four months old, the most beautiful color you’ve ever seen, but his mix is just a guess.

He’s very affectionate, well-mannered and the sweetest puppy his foster dad has ever met. He’ll play with the other dogs, but he’s also happy just to lie at his foster dad’s feet, too. If you’ve got room in your heart for sweet boy like Graham, please go to The Little Pink Shelter to fill out an application.

I’m Cocoa and I Have a Forever Family

9 month old golden retriever mix Cocoa needs a new home
Hi, I’m Cocoa! The Little Pink Shelter

Cocoa is a beautiful 9-month old girl golden-mix who was given up due to circumstances beyond her control (her owner died suddenly) and now she is lost without a place to belong. She had been living in a family with three children under the age of twelve, was great with all of them, and she doesn’t understand why she can’t go back home. Cocoa is such a good girl, sweet, affectionate, and playful and responds so well to love and kindness. Cocoa needs a home where she will be loved and treated like a member of the family. She’s only about 40 pounds, a perfect medium-sized girl. If you’ve got room in your heart to make this girl believe in “forever” again, please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for an application (or visit The Little Pink Shelter website). Cocoa is completely up to date on shots and is already spayed. Cocoa is being fostered in Connecticut.

I’m Otis and I Have a New Family!

Black lab mix Otis needs a new family
Hi, I’m Otis! Save a life—adopt! Connecticut Humane Society

Otis is our resident curmudgeon! We all LOVE him for it. Our handsome three-year-old black lab mix cutie comes to us from a rescue from the South. Otis adores people and enjoys his walks and cuddles and scratches. He is housebroken, up to date on all his shots, and looking for a family with no other pets to call his own. Otis is learning his basic skills but would love to learn more. Otis would be great with older children because he can get excited and a little jumpy but this playful guy is really just looking for attention. Come meet Otis at the Connecticut Humane Society and adopt a friend for life.

I’m Eddie and I’ve Been Adopted!

Walker coon hound Eddie needs a new home
Hi, I’m Eddie! Save a life—adopt! Connecticut Humane Society]

Eddie is a two-year-old, beautiful Walker Coon Hound fresh from the Deep South! He was shy with people at first but has really come out of his shell. To say Eddie loves the company of other dogs would be an understatement. When Eddie goes for a walk he can’t wait to find his next playmate. His favorite girl, Storm, looked just like Eddie and they spent all their time together playing in the back yard at the Connecticut Humane Society in Westport. Lucky Storm was adopted so Eddie is searching for his new playmate along with his new forever family. Eddie is a gentle guy who would love a fenced in yard to romp around, play with toys, and his new canine playmate. He is best suited for a home with older children given his timid nature with people. Don’t be fooled though, once Eddie warms up to you he loves to have his ears scratched and to be showered with love and attention.

I’m Ninja and I Have a New Family

Ninja dog needs a new home
Hi, I’m Ninja! Connecticut Humane Society

The day Ninja arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society was sad for everyone. His owners were forced to give him up because they had to move. Ninja won all of our hearts as we helped him mourn the loss of his beloved family and adapt to life in a shelter. He quickly became one of the staff and volunteer favorites and we all can’t wait to watch him walk out our doors and into the lives of his new forever family. If you are looking for a loyal loving boy who simply wants to be loved look no further. He is 5 years old, very well trained, housebroken, and enjoys the company of other dogs. He’s a strong guy so he would be best suited to a home with older children. Stop by the Connecticut Humane Society in Westport and take Ninja for a walk and get to know this wonderful boy. SAVE A LIFE … ADOPT!
