Chadwick. Westport Animal Control

Chadwick is a mix of many breeds (husky/boxer/shepherd) but they all have come together in a lovely combination. Whatever his lineage, Chadwick is one swell dog and is approximately four years old. The gray on his face is part of his handsome merle coloring. He has a wonderful calm and gentle temperament. He walks very well on a leash, knows his basic commands, and gives paw on both the left and right side. The Westport Animal Control officers made quite a few calls to Animal Controls in the area to make sure nobody was missing this fine fellow. How he ended up roaming in Westport is a mystery, but what is not a mystery is how much you will love him at your first meeting. He is a buddy dog, one that will walk with you with a clink of the leash, keep your feet warm at night, and give you a paw of support when you need it. Please call Westport Animal Control at (203)341-5076 to set up a time to meet Chadwick and get ready to lose your heart.

Trixie, a special needs sheltie mix, needs a new home
Hi, I’m Trixie! PAWS

Trixie is a special needs dog looking for a caring and loving home. It’s hard to believe that someone abandoned this sweet, gentle girl who is seeing and hearing impaired. Trixie, a Sheltie mix, about 9 yrs old (who still has many good years left in her), was one lucky dog to have found her way to PAWS. Trixie is a delight to have around and will make someone a wonderful companion. Trixie is fully housebroken. She enjoys short leashed walks and relaxing in a back yard where she can feel safe and not have to worry about bumping into things. It won’t take you very long to get attached to this special dog who will melt your heart. Please open your home to this little angel. Stop by PAWS at 504 Main Ave., Norwalk or call (203)750-9572 to inquire about Trixie.

I’m Moe and I Have a Home

Lab mix Moe needs a forever home
Hi, I’m Moe! Connecticut Humane Society

Moe arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society anxious and displaced, pressing himself against the back wall of the kennel. With a bit of love his true personality has come out … a little more each day, and now he sits near the front of his kennel legs folded watching the world go by and happily hoping the next person who stops in front of him will be his loving, forever owner. Moe loves to take walks, or just sit by your feet in the warmth of the sun and roll over for a belly rub. A CHS volunteer says of Moe, “I am so happy that Moe is regaining his capacity for trust. He has a smile now and in his eyes I see great dignity. I will say with unconditional honesty I will be truly jealous of the family that gets to adopt him.” Moe is a one year old black and white Labrador Mix. He is neutered and up to date on all his shots. Come by and see for yourself how really wonderful Moe is. The Connecticut Humane Society, 455 Post Road East, Westport, 203-227-4137.
