We’re Daisy & Frances, and We Found a Home

Frances and Daisy Cats need a new home
Hi, we’re Daisy & Frances. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Connecticut Humane Society

Hi. I’m Daisy, a beautiful, black and white, 6-year-old, spayed female DSH. The cute-as-a-button cat next to me is, I’m proud to say, my daughter Frances. She is a 4-year-old, spayed female DSH. You can find us at the CT Humane Society (455 Post Road East, (203) 227-4137). I’ve raised my little Frannie right. She is friendly and eager to please, just like her proud mom. Our former owner is moving and discarded us like an old couch. Hmmph! Well, I believe there is someone out there, you maybe, that is willing to adopt the two of us and provide us with a loving and warm home. We are quite close and need to stay together. I’m sure you understand. Please stop by to meet us. We’re anxiously waiting to meet you.

Hi. I’m Oliver, a handsome (everyone says so), 5-year-old, neutered male tabby cat. You can find me at the CT Humane Society (455 Post Road East, (203) 227-4137). I love humans and I’m very affectionate and gentle even though I’m a very big boy. I thought I’d found my forever home, but I just couldn’t get along with the other cat (or the dog!)—I would do best as your only pet. I’ll give you lots of love and cuddle with you and keep you nice and warm. I’m a great watch cat, and I’ll greet you at the door when you come home. Please stop by to meet me!

I’m Lacy, and I Have a New Family

Lacy the cat needs a home
Hi, I’m Lacy! (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Connecticut Humane Society

Hi. I’m Lacy, a gorgeous (if I do say so myself), 10-year-old, spayed female DLH. You can find me at the CT Humane Society (455 Post Road East, (203) 227-4137). My beauty is matched perfectly by my lovely personality. I get along very nicely with dogs and cats. I am getting a bit depressed, however, because I have been here in this cage since August. My owner, unfortunately, became very ill and was unable to give me the love and care a cat like me deserves. Please stop by to meet me. I would be so appreciative, and I do think I may be the perfect cat for you. Don’t be deterred by my age. I have many years left to be the resident (or co-resident) cat in your family.

I’m Ray Charles, and I’ve Been Adopted

Hi, I’m Ray Charles! (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Connecticut Humane Society

Hi. I’m Ray Charles, a 3 1/2-year-old spaniel mix. You can find me at the CT Humane Society (455 Post Road East, (203) 227-4137. No, I can’t sing or play the piano but I can be a wonderful pet. I’m an active boy (it’s in the genes) but do stop routinely for belly rubs. I love those belly rubs. The good thing is that here in Connecticut there are lots of beaches and parks for me to get the exercise I need. And, come on, aren’t you tired of sitting around on your sofa? Please come by and say hello. Make sure you give yourself enough time to give me belly rubs and a jaunt around the grounds. Maybe, if the mood hits me, I just may bark a few notes for you.

I’m Toby, and I’ve Been Adopted!

I'm Toby and I need a new home
Hi, I’m Toby! Connecticut Human Society

So, you’re looking for a special dog to take with you for long walks at the beach or in the park. Well, look no further. Hi, I’m Toby, a 1 ½-year-old, altered male chocolate lab, and you can find me at the Connecticut Humane Society (455 Post Road East, Westport (203) 227-4137). My previous owner didn’t have time to give me all the attention and exercise that I dog like me needs. That’s a real shame because I’m very smart and have been doing very well with my training at the Humane Society. So, their loss could be your gain! I’m a very sweet boy and would love to meet you. Please stop by THIS WEEK to meet me, Toby, the chocolate lab of your dreams.

Hi, I’m Clyde, a 3-year-old, altered male, chow-lab mix. You can find me at the Connecticut Humane Society (455 Post Road East, Westport, (203) 227-4137). I’m a real favorite with the staff and volunteers. You see I have this charming personality and this adorable “cushie” face. I’m playful, walk well on a leash and get along very well with other dogs. I tell you, I’m just irresistible. Don’t believe me? Well, why don’t you come and visit me? I’m waiting for you. And, just in case you don’t like the name Clyde, I’m open for suggestions—really!

I’m Shadow, and I’ve Been Adopted

Shadow needs a home
Hi, I’m Shadow! (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Connecticut Humane Society

Hi, I’m Shadow, a handsome, altered male lab-terrier mix. I’m what you call a super senior sweetie. My paper work says I’m 13 but I have the heart and exuberance of a pup. I love people and dogs – a lot! You can find me at the Connecticut Humane Society (455 Post Road East, Westport, (203)227-4137).  I’m one of those dogs that should be in the movies or dog commercials. I have an adorable whiskered face. I know that deep down in my doggie heart that there is someone willing to give me the home and love I deserve. My previous owners divorced and left me to fend for myself. So, help mend this dog’s broken heart and stop by to meet me, Shadow, the dog with star appeal.

I’m Buddy, and I’ve Been Adopted

Hi, I’m Buddy! (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Connecticut Human Society

Hi, I’m Buddy, a 1-year-old, altered male, German shepherd mix.  I’m the cutest, don’t you think. My name is perfect for me as I just long to be your best “buddy”. You can find me at the Connecticut Humane Society (455 Post Road East, Westport, (203) 227-4137). I was surrendered at such a young age because I wouldn’t stay in the yard. I have to wonder how many dogs would stay in their yard by themselves. I think a fenced-in yard would do the trick. I’m really great on a leash so I would be a great walking “buddy” too. Oh, I get well with other dogs too so I could be your dog’s “buddy”.  So remember my name BUDDY, and please stop by to say hello to your new best BUDDY!!!
