Blinky is Missing

WestportNow.com Image
Seven-year-old cat Blinky is missing. He was last seen at the studio where he lives (215 Post Road West, Westport) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 30. He is an indoor/outdoor cat and will wander out into the woods, but always comes back. When he didn’t show up for breakfast Friday morning we started to worry and unfortunately he still has not returned. He is a friendly cat but can be a little skittish around people he doesn’t know. He could have easily wandered into a garage or shed out of curiosity. We think he is out there somewhere and really want him to come home. If you see him or have any information, please call Katherine at 203-858-9005. (CLICK TO ENLARGE)

Ruby, a terrier mix, is missing

Ruby, terrier mix, missing in Westport, CT.
Ruby is a 14 year old terrier mix. She is DEAF and VISUALLY IMPAIRED. She hears loud clapping. She is a reddish tan color and weighs 15lbs and is about 15 inches tall. She was last seen early Saturday morning, April 21, 2018, on Laurel Road between Otter Trail and Maplegrove, off of Imperial Ave., in Westport. She may be skittish but she is sweet. She likes food and treats. She is wearing a collar with ID tags and a red tag that says “Deaf Dog”. She also has a black harness on. Please check garages, crawl spaces, and sheds, under boats, docks, decks, trampolines, etc.  We’re concerned she may be stuck and something and can’t get loose. She may be hard to see because she blends in with fallen leaves. Please call us if you see or catch her. 203-644-4801 or 203-505-4825. Thank you, Claudia Besen

Missing Mozart No Longer Missing

WestportNow.com ImageUPDATE Westport Animal Control Officer Gina Gambino cuddles with Mozart, a 6-month-old poodle missing since Dec. 23 from his owner’s home on Coleytown Road. He was reunited Monday with his family. Owner Peggy Reiner said she only had Mozart for three days (adopted from an elderly couple) before he slipped out a fence and was eventually found on Easton Road. “We think someone took him in,” she said, adding: “What a nightmare. We’re so grateful for everyone in the community who has reached out and been so caring.”  (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Westport Police photo

Blaze is back home with his family, safe and sound. He was lost on Colonial Road in Westport around 7pm on Tuesday, November 14 but was picked up 20 minutes after his escape by a kind neighbor. The neighbor kept him overnight and posted his information via the Nextdoor app, which, with the help of another neighbor, led to his return the next morning.
