Edgar Has His Forever Family

Edgar
Edgar. Westport Animal Control

Adorable Edgar, a young lhasa apso mix, was recently rescued from a CT animal control facility.  He was in desperate need of a grooming and WASA would like to thank Greenfield Hill Dog Grooming for donating their services.  According to his foster, he is extremely affectionate, loves to be held and is getting along well with the foster’s toy poodle.  He will be neutered and brought up to date on his vaccinations courtesy of WASA.  For additional information and an adoption application, please send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (203)557-0361.

Malloy Has A Home

Malloy
Malloy. Westport Animal Control

Malloy bears the name of the Westport Public Library staff member (Kathleen Malloy) who assisted a library patron after the kitten was found outside of the library last Thursday. She was brought to Schulof Animal Hospital by Westport Animal Control Officer Joe Saponare with multiple abrasions and registering no body temperature.  It was touch and go for a while but she has rebounded well and is getting stronger every day.  WASA (Westport Animal Shelter Advocates) (www.westportwasa.org) is covering her vet costs and will be searching high and low for a home for her while she is recuperating at Schulof as Westport Animal Control does not have facilities for cats/kittens nor does WASA have cat fosters.  The kitten is believed to be somewhere between 2 and 3 months old.  She is cuddly and loves to be held and has quickly become the sweetheart of the vet practice.  If you are interested in adopting the kitten or donating towards her vet care, please send an email to WASA at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Spirit Found a New Home

Spirit
Spirit. Westport Animal Control

Spirit comes to WASA as a new foster upon her owner going into a nursing facility.  She is an adorable and very loving 8-year-old small chow mix (approximately 25 pounds).  After being a loyal and attentive companion to her previous owner, she is ready to provide the same comfort to someone new.  She is healthy, so sweet, calm, good with other dogs and just wonderful.  For additional information on Spirit and an adoption application, please send an email to WASA at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (203)557-0361.

Cooper Has Found A Home

Cooper
Cooper. Westport Animal Control

Cooper is a 7-month-old German Shepherd mix pup.  His family did not have time for him with two parents that worked long hours and traveled.  He was being crated for an extensive period of time each day.  He is now being fostered in a home with other dogs and a large fenced-in yard.  He is going on frequent walks and enjoys trips to the beach and dog park.  Cooper is great with other dogs, especially those that love to romp.  Cooper loves everyone, including children, but is mouthy (a behavior which is lessening with activity and training) and would do best in an adult home or a home with older children.  Cooper also lived with cats.  For additional information about Cooper or to complete an adoption application, please send an email to WASA at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (203)557-0361.
