Ginger. Connecticut Humane Society

Muffy. Connecticut Humane society

Meet our spunky Ginger! This little lady came in with her sister Muffy and they mean the world to each other, so they need to go home together! This 9 years young little shih tzu will steal your heart with her playful antics and gentle soul. She loves cuddling on laps and just being by your side.
Meet sister Muffy. This older lady would never let on about her age. She is too busy running around trying to sit on peoples laps and play with them. Always with a skip in her step, this little girls spunky and fun outlook on life will inspire you and make you fall in love instantly. Her favorite activities are cuddling up on a warm blanket, playing with her sister Ginger, sitting on your lap, and sporting the newest fall fashions! Muffy loves her sister Ginger, so they simply have to go home together. If you have room in your heart and home for these happy gals, come on down to the Westport Branch of the Connecticut Humane Society or visit them on the website at www.cthumane.org.

Buddy. Westport Animal Control

While not the most original dog name, Buddy is a name that suits this 2-year-old black lab rescued from a CT animal control facility well.  He is being fostered by a WASA (www.westportwasa.org) volunteer.  He is a handsome and very loving dog that adores ear, chest and, most of all, belly rubs.  He gets along well with other dogs and walks very well on a leash.  He’s just a really great dog!  Buddy is neutered and up-to-date on his vet care.  For additional information and an adoption application, please send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 203-557-0361.

Jackson. Westport Animal Control

Jackson is a 2 to 3-year-old male Chihuahua-Daschund mix at Westport Animal Control (Elaine Road, Westport, CT, 203-341-5076).  He has recovered well from his initial shyness and now is the life of the party.  He is affectionate, a real lap dog and dances adorably while balanced on his two back legs when he wants attention.  Jackson would probably do best in an adult home or a home with older children.  Please call soon to meet him.

Mack. Westport Animal Control

Mack is a 1-year-old lab-American pitbull mix at Westport Animal Control (Elaine Road, Westport, CT 203-341-5076).

He is an affectionate ‘polar bear’ that does well on leash walking and loves to swim.  He’s a big boy that would do well in a home with older children because of his size.  Mack does appear to get along with other dogs but probably would do best with other big playful dogs.

He’s a great dog with a big heart that the staff and volunteers hope finds a home soon.

Gracie. Westport Animal Control

Gracie is the newest resident of Westport Animal Control (Elaine Road, Westport, CT 203-341-5076).  She is a lhasa-pug mix of approximately 3 to 5-years-of-age.  She was a stray brought in resembling a ball of fluff with an under bite.  Thanks to a grooming secured by WASA and donated by Greenfield Hills Grooming, her face and pudgy body was revealed.  Gracie is very friendly and does appear to get along with other dogs.

Rosie. Westport Animal Control

Hopefully things will be a lot ‘rosier’ for Rosie now that she has found her way to Westport Animal Control (Elaine Road, Westport, CT 203-341-5076).  Rosie is a 2 to 3-year-old Staffordshire terrier mix that we believe was abandoned after she had a litter of puppies.  The staff and volunteers are giving her love and attention after her trauma.  She is a sweet dog that enjoys her daily walks and kicking back in the animal control office while playing with one of the toys from the office toy basket.  She is enjoying her R & R.  Rosie will be spayed (her breeding days are over!) and brought up-to-date on her vet care courtesy of WASA.

Bentley. Westport Animal Control

Bentley is a 7-year-old neutered yorkie residing at Westport Animal Control (Elaine Road, Westport, CT 203-341-5076).  He’s a fine and affectionate little guy that gets along well with other dogs – particularly those close to his size – that is looking for a new home where he will not be left for prolonged periods of time.  Bentley likes going for walks and is definitely a dog that benefits from daily exercise.  He may have anxiety issues that would not make him a candidate for a home with small children.  Please call soon to schedule a time to meet him.

Angel. Westport Animal Control

Angel is a lovely 3 to 4-year-old pointer mix and is being fostered by a WASA volunteer.  Rescued from a CT animal control facility after being tied to the door of a church while services were being conducted inside, Angel was initially shy and frightened. She has rebounded with great joy and greets everyone with a wagging tail and much affection – even the veterinarian that gave her a recent exam and vaccinations.  Angel gets along well with other dogs but may be a bit too playful for very small dogs.  She’s a beautiful and sweet girl that is looking for a second chance.  For additional information and an adoption application, please send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 203-557-0361. Angel is spayed and up-to-date on her vet care.
