Lilo. Connecticut Humane SocietyLilo is a handsome boy looking for his forever home. This domestic long hair mix will need a loving family that is prepared to brush him and maintain his gorgeous coat! Lilo seems to get along with other cats and may even be OK with a gentle dog. If you think Lilo is the one for you, come to meet him today at the Westport branch of the CT Humane Society! He’d love to be in a home by the holidays.
This little fellow (lab-pit/boxer mix) is approximately 2 to 3 months old and tips the scale at 9 pounds. He was rescued from a CT animal control facility after his original owners sold the females from the litter. He is affectionate, curious, and loves to play and cuddle. He will require a person willing to put in the time to train and spend the extra time with him that puppies require. I’m guessing he’s a smart little fellow as he is quickly learning the ropes from his current foster siblings. He sleeps through the night in his crate quite nicely (after some initial complaints). Butterball is a darling of a bulldog-staffie mix. He is approximately 4 to 5 months old, up-to-date on shots and neutered. He is one sweet pup that loves people and dogs of all ages. He is a wonderful little fellow that loves to cuddle even more than he loves his favorite treat, frozen yogurt. He has the most wonderful temperament, and you will certainly fall in deep love when you meet him. He is being fostered by a Westport Animal Shelter Advocates volunteer. For additional information and an adoption application, please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
UPDATE: Butterball is doing well in foster care. He is a little older and a little bigger now but has just gotten sweeter. He loves going to the beach and cruising the surf for “edibles” (seaweed and crab shells) and romping with his black and yellow lab friends.
Inca is a lovely German Shepherd approximately 5 or 6 years of age that was left tied to the doorknob of an area shelter and subsequently transferred to Westport Animal Control. A note from her previous owner cued us into the fact that she knows a long list of tricks from paw shaking on both sides to the old “Bang You’re Dead” flop. She has a very sweet nature and it is a real treat to walk this beautiful dog. The staff is recommending that she be placed in a home with children 12 or older. It’s no stretch to say she is truly adored by the animal control officers and the volunteers. Please call (203) 341-5076 to schedule a time to meet Inca.
Jax is an active JRT mix looking for a family with children 8+ and adults. He seems to be selective with other pets but may be willing to share his home with another dog. Jax is fully housebroken and knows some basic obedience, but he’s an active terrier mix so he needs a family experienced with dogs and prepared to take on some additional training. If you’re interested in Jax, please come meet him at the CT Humane Society in Westport!
Ludwig is a handsome and happy boy in search of a new family. Ludwig did test positive for FIV so he will need to be an indoor only single kitty. This sweet guy was originally found as a stray but his rescuer couldn’t keep him so he came to CHS to find his new family. Ludwig would probably prefer a calm home but may be happy with gentle children. If you’re interested in a special needs kitty and think Ludwig could be the one for you, come to meet him today at the Westport branch of the CT Humane Society!
Toby is a shy guy in search of a calm, adult home. His new family will need to own their own home and have a fully fenced yard. Toby gets along well with other dogs but we are unsure of his experience with cats. He is both housebroken and crate trained but a new owner should be prepared for a few accidents as Toby adjusts to a new routine. Toby is a timid boy so he needs an experienced, patient, calm owner who is willing to help teach him that people are good and bring all good things. If you think Toby could be the one for you, come to meet him today at the Westport branch of the CT Humane Society.
Ella and Suzy Q are sweet little 6-month-old tabby girls that need a home. They are the remaining two from a litter of kittens that were rescued from underneath a Westport resident’s home. They are very affectionate and playful and will make a lovely (and loving) addition to your home. For additional adoption information, please contact Westport Animal Hospital at (203) 227-4117.
