Lexus found a Home

Lexus. Save Our Strays Inc.
Lexus was adopted. He is a sweet, 2 year old, male tabby cat who seems to be pretty mellow. He has beautiful bright yellow eyes and perfect tabby markings. Lexus is neutered and up to date on all shots. He really deserves a loving home so please come in to meet him!

UPDATE: Lexus recently went to a foster home. Unfortunately the family was hoping that one of the family members who was allergic to cats was now better and they were not so Lexus had to come back to the shelter, they said this. “…I want to make sure you all know is that Lexus (or “Lex” or “Lexi” as the family has already taken to calling him) is an amazing cat. …He is brave, curious, affectionate – we are calling him the quintessential cat. After a couple of hours of chilling out on his own, getting accustomed to the noises and quirks of our household, he ventured out and about to check out the family & the environment. He started coming up to us, looking to curl up on lap or otherwise nearby one of us, sought after petting, etc. He started chatting with us by late last night as well, meowing away (not too much at all, just occasionally enough to let you know he’s nearby). He loves exploring, and had a great time finding closets and bookcases, among other little nooks and crannies. He did wonderfully with the kids – allowing petting, not getting scared by some classic loud little boy banging (curious & cautious, but not scared), and when he had enough, he simply left – no aggression in the slightest. He took to the litter box without a qualm, communicated with us when he was hungry – he really is the perfect cat. I hope a family without the allergies we have in this household shows up looking for a perfect cat – and finds Lex.”

Maggie has been adopted

Maggie. Save Our Strays
Maggie has been in the shelter scene for much longer than this sweet girl deserves! She is the greatest companion dog who loves to go out on walks with you and will sit right by your side indoors. We think that no one has been interested in poor Maggie because she was diagnosed with Addison’s disease. What they don’t know is that all she needs to be a normal, healthy dog is a monthly shot! She WILL live a normal life just as any other dog would! She is also housebroken very well and hasn’t had one accident throughout the long time that she’s been with us. Maggie is spayed and up to date on all of her shots and is all around an ideal dog! If there is someone out there who can ignore the word “disease” and see her for the perfectly normal dog that she really is, with these monthly shots we guarantee you will love her as an addition to your family and she will love you right back 1,000 times more! Please give her a chance! It’s not fair that such a great soul is spending most of her life in a kennel. Midnight Has a New Home

Midnight. Save Our Strays
Midnight is very new to Save Our Strays and very much wants to cuddle up on a bed in a real home asap! Midnight is a shiny black 6 month old female kitten who we can tell is super sweet but is just very uncomfortable living in the shelter setting. She is very gentle and lets us pet/hold her, but, with one look into her bright eyes you can almost hear her saying “I want to go home!” Once she finds a home, we can easily picture her purring by your side all day long ready to be loved and to give love just when you need it most! Please ask about her and make her stay here a short one. To ask about Midnight email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (203) 255-0514 Save Our Strays Inc.

Basil Found His Forever Home

Basil. SHAH

Basil is a 10 1/2 year old neutered male Cocker Spaniel who needs a forever home as soon as possible.  He is great with other dogs but needs to go to a home without children.  Please give this boy a chance at a happy life.  All he wants is to be loved.  Stacy says he is very happy in his new home and is being spoiled silly.

Lance has a Forever Family

Lance. Save Our Strays Inc.
Lance is about 8 months old and is still very much a puppy. This cutie loves everyone he meets and greets them with a big kiss then rolls over for a belly rub! He has lots of puppy energy and would do best with an active family. He came from NYC and we do not think his prior owners took the time to teach him anything so, like any puppy, he definitely needs work with housebreaking through crate-training. Lance is very smart and a quick learner who just needs some exercise and direction. This happy, fun loving guy is up to date on all of his shots and has been neutered. He is about 30 pounds, making him a great size (he should only be gaining a few pounds more when fully matured.) We would love to find a foster home who has the heart and time for him and can help him learn his household manners so that he can find a forever home quicker! We really don’t want him to have to spend his special puppy years in a kennel! Penrose. Save Our Strays Inc.
Penrose is a very beautiful Tortoiseshell cat. She is about 1 1/2 years old and really wants a home! Penrose has strikingly bright golden eyes that perfectly compliment her tan and gray markings. Adopting her would brighten up anyone’s home! Penrose is spayed, up-to-date on all her shots, and would love to meet you so please come in and ask about her!  To ask about Penrose email at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call (203) 255-0514 Save Our Strays Inc.

Jayden has found a Forever Home

Jayden needs a Home
Jayden. Save Our Strays Inc.

Jayden is a gorgeous and extremely sweet young cat. At 3 years old, she seems to have been born just to be a warm and cozy lap cat. She has the softest and fluffiest gray/tortoise coat which makes petting her almost addictive! She doesn’t mind being handled and is really just so sweet. While Jayden was in her previous home she had developed a urinary tract infection which had gone unnoticed. Therefore, she is now on special food for the rest of her life which will cure and help prevent it from happening again. Please find the room in your homes and hearts to give this fur ball the loving warm home she deserves!  She is located at Save Our Strays Inc. call (203) 255-0514 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
