I’m Kelsey, and I Have a New Home

Boxer Kelsey is looking for a home
Hi, I’m Kelsey!
(CLICK TO ENLARGE) Adopt A Boxer Rescue

Can you believe the sweet face on this special girl? Kelsey is a tremendous dark fawn 1- to 2-year-old boxer that a group of CT Humane Society volunteers had the privilege to meet at a recent adoption event held in Connecticut. She is currently being fostered through the boxer rescue organization, Adopt A Boxer Rescue. She won our hearts in about a minute (actually about a second) with her loving and gentle nature. She was found as a stray and, judging from scars on her body, has had a rough life so far. She has forgiven all and loves attention and gives it right back to you with a boxer wiggle and some delightful doggie kisses. Please contact boxer rescue at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or fill out an application at www.AdoptABoxerRescue.com. Kelsey deserves a second chance with a loving family.

Basset hound/corgi mix Cooper needs a home
Hi, I’m Cooper! (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Connecticut Humane Society

We better keep Cruella De Ville from discovering Cooper! Cooper is a 5-year-old altered male basset hound-corgi mix that can be found at the CT Humane Society (455 Post Road E., (203)227-4137). He has the most amazing fur—so soft and silky—which works out well because he does like to cuddle. He’s a very happy dog despite his homeless situation and is elated to be around people and dogs of all ages. He will be happy to accompany you on walks in your neighborhood, park or on the beach and will be content to relax by your side after his exercise is through. We guarantee you that petting Cooper will lower your blood pressure and improve your mood tremendously.

I’m Sparky, and I Have a New Home

Yellow lab Sparky needs a new home
Hi, I’m Sparky! (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Connecticut Humane Society

Sparky is a loving and friendly 2-year-old altered male yellow lab that can be found at the CT Humane Society (455 Post Road E., (203)227-4137). Often people adopt labs and think that they will be content to sit around all day and sleep. Any true yellow lab lover knows that the true joy of a yellow lab is their playful and energetic nature. Sparky is no exception. He was surrendered because his owners were not willing to give him the time he needs to be a wonderful pet. Hopefully you will see that he is smart, friendly and very willing to lay by the fire and sleep IF you give him the exercise that he needs to stay healthy, fit and happy.

I’m Jack, and I Have a New Home

Shepherd mix Jack needs a home
Hi, I’m Jack! (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Connecticut Humane Society

You may say no dog is perfect but Jack comes pretty darn close. Jack is a gorgeous and loving 10-year-old altered male shepherd mix (possibly mixed with a teddy bear). You can find this special doggie at the CT Humane Society (455 Post Road E., (203)227-4137). Jack was surrendered because his family was moving somewhere that won’t allow pets. I think the landlord would probably have bent the rules if he had met Jack. Jack is wonderful with children and other dogs. Jack has a lot of living to do and deserves to be with a new family that will appreciate him. Once you meet him, you will know why he’s this volunteer’s favorite.

I’m Brownie, and I’ve Been Adopted

Sharpei/pit bull mix Brownie needs a home
Hi, I’m Brownie! (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Westport Animal Control

Brownie is a super-friendly four-year-old Pit Bull/Sharpei mix who was surrendered because her owner could not afford the cost of her periodic allergy treatments.  Her beautiful hazel eyes reflect a mellow and affectionate nature, and she would thrive as an only pet. She has been waiting patiently for her forever home and in the meantime, loves to play, go for walks, and, most of all, be cuddled. Brownie is housebroken, spayed, and current on her vaccinations. Please consider giving Brownie the loving home she deserves. To make an appointment to meet her, call Westport Animal Control at (203) 341-5076.
