In the first stage, the colonial-style circa 1900 house that shared the one-acre property was demolished in February (see WestportNow Feb. 1, 2012) having changed ownership in March 2007 for $585,000. That house originally appeared as the WestportNow Teardown of the Day on Oct. 18, 2007. However, demolition was delayed for several years.
