Going Down: 38 Burnham Hill

The house at Westport’s 38 Burnham Hill, near the Compo Mill area, was demolished today. Built in 1953, the 1 3/4-story split had 1,746 square feet, was situated on a .76-acre property and changed ownership last month for $900,000.  It was the WestportNow Teardown of the Day on April 30, 2012.  A neighbor walking her dog stopped to watch the demolition and said, “Look, you can still see hangers in the closet.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
