Westport’s Terex Corporation is among 13 companies receiving state loans or grants to help create jobs, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced today.
“The investments announced today will play a major role in our continuous drive to enhance Connecticut’s economic competitiveness on the national and global scale,” he said following a State Bond Commission meeting approving the awards.
Terex will receive a $1.5 million grant to assist with a $5.5 million leasehold improvements project for its headquarters at the Nyala Farms office complex on Greens Farms Road.
The company will retain 140 jobs and create 30 jobs within four years, the announcement said.
