In that role, Allison will be charged with overseeing several federal programs meant to improve the availability of credit, aid major automakers and bolster the housing market.

Westport Losing Pequot Capital Mangement to Wilton

Westport is losing hedge fund Pequot Capital Management to Wilton.

The $4 billion hedge fund currently at the Nyala Farm office complex has signed a long-term lease on new headquarters at 187 Danbury Road. The building formerly housed Bank of America and Dun and Bradstreet.

“The location, coupled with the existing infrastructure of the building and the high caliber of the space made 187 Danbury Road a perfect fit,” Pequot’s Susan Hotchkiss said. Pequot will occupy 27,000 square feet of the 136,000-square-foot building.

Davis Marcus Partners, the real estate firm that owns 187 Danbury Road, also announced that wealth management firm Granite Group Advisors has leased 2,200 square feet. Other companies with offices at Pequot’s new home are Wilton Reinsurance, Private Client Resources and skin-care group Beiersdorf.
