Working on the Numbers

The Westport Board of Edcuation today conducted its annual detailed public review of its proposed 2014-15 operating budget. The session was held in the McManus Room of the Westport Library. Schools Superintendent Elliott Landon said earlier this week that his proposed 2014-15 operating budget has a 6.5 percent increase due to a $2 million health insurance shortfall instead of what should have been a 4.3 percent jump.
