Woman, Dog Rescued From Mud Image
Westport police, firefighters and animal control worked together late today to make a mud rescue of a woman and her dog from Dead Man’s Brook near the Levitt Pavilion. The woman called 911 after she said she and her dog were stuck in the mud after the dog chased some birds into the water. Firefighters wearing water rescue gear and using a department rescue boat made the rescue. Neither the woman nor her dog was injured although both needed a good bath.
