She finished 10th overall in the Big Air snowboarding event.
She had a rough landing on her first run, failing to land the trick successfully.
Needing a strong second run, she earned a 74.50, which put her in ninth place overall.
On her third and final run, Marino needed a score likely above 90 to secure a medal.
But again, she couldn’t complete the trick successfully, wiping out on the landing for a score of 18.75 and a total score of 93.25.
Marino’s Olympics ended without a medal. Earlier in the Games she finished 11th in the women’s slopestyle competition.
The winner of the Big Air event was Austria’s Anna Gasser, the reigning world champion, who edged American Jamie Anderson.
In third place was Zoi Sadowski Synnott, who gave New Zealand its first Winter Olympic medal in 26 years.
