WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 6 Elwil Drive

WestportNow.com Image
An application is in process to acquire a permit to demolish the house at 6 Elwil Drive, off Westport’s Roseville Road. Built in 1950, the 1-3/4-story colonial has 2,240 square feet and is situated on a one-acre property on a cul-de-sac. Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Historic District Commission. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com

  1. Wow, the housing market must be picking up, with this flurry of knock-down requests.  It’s been a long time since there’s been so many demolitions showing up.

  2. Yikes….criminal it is to knock down this beautiful home.
So there you go once again, another piece of Westport charm being destroyed….McUgly-McMansion here ya go again!!!!

  3. Haven’t any of these builders read that McMansions have fallen in favor?  Maybe someone will divide up that lovely unfinished symphony on route 57 near the Methodist Church.
