An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 63 Turkey Hill Road South is in process. Built in 1900, the two-story contemporary has 4,689-square feet and is situated on a 3.01-acre property. Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com

Such a shame. One of my favorite houses in town. Why?
I have always loved that house….
A unique, one of a kind home on a well designed and mature landscape that has been here for 116 years. To be replaced with what??? Turkey Hill is losing its character one house at a time.
