WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 5 Rockland Place

A request is in process for an application to demolish the house at 5 Rockland Place off Compo Road South. Built in 1900, the one-story ranch has 1,018 square feet and is situated on a 0.2-acre lot. The current residents intend to rebuild on the site. Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Historic District Commission at its August meeting.
