WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 37 Sturges Highway

An application for a permit is in process to demolish the house at 37 Sturges Highway near Long Lots Road. Built in 1956, the 1½-story Cape Cod is 1,498 square feet in size and is located on a 1.02-acre property bordered by a duck pond. The property was sold in December 2007 for $750,000. Because the home was built more than 50 years ago, the application is on the agenda of the next Historic District Commission meeting. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
