An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 2 Riverside Ave., off Post Road West, is in process. Built in 1900, the two-story residential/commercial building has 1,470-square feet, is situated on a .1-acre property and changed ownership in September for $895,000. It most recently housed Westport Aquarium. Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission.
