WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 2 Buena Vista Drive

An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 2 Buena Vista Drive, in the Compo Mill Cove area, is in process. Built in 1954, the two-story contemporary has 2,019 square feet and is situated on a .3-acre property. There seems to be a lack of innovation when it comes to housing architecture in Westport. Does anyone read Dwell magazine? There’s so many new and energy efficient modern approaches to home design. Back in the 1950’s many new home owners wanted a clean and simple aesthetic. There’s a few left in Westport, but I think they’ll all be torn down for a massive footprint.
