WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 20 Minute Man Hill

An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 20 Minute Man Hill in the Compo Beach section is in process. Built in 1953, the two-story custom contemporary has 3,049-square feet, is situated on a .61-acre property and changed ownership last month for $1,650,000. Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission. The house was owned by Westport movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and occupied by his mother, Miriam, until her death a year ago at the age of 90.
