WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 12 Manitou Road

An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 12 Manitou Road, off Compo Road South, is in process. Built in 1952, the one-story ranch has 2,772 square feet, is situated on a 1.1-acre property and, according to the Town of Westport assessor database, the last change of ownership was in April 1983 for $190,000.  Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission.
