WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 126 Beachside Ave.

An application for a permit to demolish the houses at 126 and 128 Beachside Ave. in Westport’s Greens Farms area, is in process.  Built in 1981, the house at 126 Beachside (above, pictured from rear overlooking Long Island Sound) is a two-story custom contemporary, has 4,716 square feet and is situated on a 2.48 acre property. It was part of a $20 million sale in October of three adjoining parcels on almost seven acres that was Westport’s second largest residential real estate transaction. (See WestportNow Oct. 30, 2010).
