Phil Delgado of Westport VFW Post 399 announced that the Westport Veterans Day ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Post located at 465 Riverside Ave.
The program will include Posting the Colors; welcoming remarks by First Selectman Jim Marpe; placing of a memorial wreath by members of VFW Post 399 and American Legion Post 63; Firing Detail conducted by the Westport Police Department; and will conclude with honoring five veterans invited to this year’s ceremony.
Due to the Phase 2.1 COVID-19 restrictions and to ensure safety for all, attendance at this event will be by invitation only. A video of the ceremony will be posted on all Town social media pages and Optimum Channel 79/Frontier Channel 6020 shortly after the end of the ceremony.
