…but a lovely family will be moving into the replacement house!
I was sorry to see the old Purcell’s house is the latest teardown. Living in Canada now I so enjoy reading Westport Now and seeing familiar sites. I’m sure a lovely family will be moving into the new home. I hope that they will grow up with as many wonderful memories from Appletree Trail as I had. It was a magical place for all the children who were lucky to even have spent a few years there. I will look forward to driving past the new house on my home to visit but so sad not to see the old farmhouse on my way by. I hope that when I do return I will recognize how to get home since it seems to be changing so quickly.
No!!!!!!!!!! That house is the epitome of Appletree Trail…it’s what makes that road so sleepy and sweet.
Stop the McMansion madness!!! Save Westport Now!!!
I hope that when I grow up and live in Westport with my kids there will still be at least a few houses that still look like they are from an old town.

Ben,
Study hard, get a good job, and then you can buy a house in Westport (or wherever you choose to live) and determine what you want to do with it.
