I am certain that each of the people in this photo is a fine Westport educator, but one person stands out to me: Eliot Kraut.
What a marvelous career of educating students to the ways of our democratic life. At Staples, where Mr. Kraut taught, the 1970s were years of an outstanding Social Studies faculty and a variety of inspiring courses from which to choose. Mr. Kraut is one reason this rich curriculum was offered to Staples students.
