Thanks for a Great Season

Staples coach Marce Petroccio has some season-ending words of thanks to his Wreckers following their 28-14 loss to Bunnell tonight at Trumbull. Staples ended with an 8-2 record. It was the seventh successive state playoff appearance for the Wreckers. Said Petroccio: “I feel awful for my seniors who worked so hard all year. It’s hard to fall short like this. It’s a new feeling for me. It doesn’t quite feel right that there’s a state championship game going on and we’re not going to be there.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) WestportNow.com photo
