Talking Baseball at the Senior Center

Westporter Jeff White, an adviser to the Boston Red Sox, former chief financial officer of Major League Baseball and head of Westport Little League, talked about the business of baseball today at the Westport Center for Senior Activities. He said baseball owners’ profits are not as large as some may think and that their real opportunity to make a financial windfall is by one day selling their franchise. White, who wears his 2004 Red Sox World Series ring on his right hand, said the Red Sox will distribute their 2007 World Series rings on Monday. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) WestportNow.com photo
