Swinging at the Levitt

On the eve of a Lincoln Center appearance, Charles Turner & Uptown Swing entertained tonight at Westport’s Levitt Pavilion. Winner of the Duke Ellington Center for the Arts vocal competition, among other accolades—Turner has quickly made his mark in the New York City jazz scene, playing regularly at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s late-night dance sessions, Ginny’s Supper Club, Smoke, and more.
