Sunday’s Concours d’Caffeine at the Metro-North railroad station in Saugatuck will feature approximately 400 owners and their vehicles, according to organizers.
Beginning at 8 a.m., the special theme of this “pop-up” Concours d’Caffeine will be an exhibit of American and European “muscle cars” as well as some very special hot rods and custom cars, an announcement said.
They include two very different customized mid-1930s Ford pickup trucks, the only convertible hardtop Mustang, several Shelby GT350s and a couple of Porsches representing the hot cars from Germany.
The Tour d’Caffeine, (renamed d’Espresso for this time) will depart the train station at 11 a.m., driving a route winding though lower Fairfield County to wind up at the 10th annual New England Chowdafest at Sherwood Island State Park.
The event is a fundraiser for the Westport PBA Scholarship Fund, supporting scholarships for the student children of the Westport Police Department.
