Strike Up the Bands

The Westport Band Festival was held tonight in the Staples High School gymnasium. Bands from Coleytown and Bedford Middle Schools were combined and performed by grade. The Staples Symphonic and combined Freshman and Sophomore bands also performed. For the concert’s finale, all of the bands combined to perfom the “American Spirit Overture” under the combined direction of James Forgey, Lou Kitchner, Nicholas Mariconda and Gregg Winters.
