The state of Connecticut said today it has added another $150,000 to its investment in a Westport high-tech firm which makes mobile phone applications for the urban leisure and travel guide industry.

Connecticut Innovations Inc., the state’s quasi-public technology investment and innovation arm, said its latest investment in Interactive Mobile @dversing LLC follows its 2010 stake of $280,000 in the company known as iM@ (pronounced “I’m at”) for short. CI also has a seat on board.
iM@, with headquarters at 191 Post Road West, so far has targeted its mobile apps for three major tourist destinations—New York City, Las Vegas and Orlando, Fla. – with 10 more scheduled to debut later this year, said CEO Kerry J. Cannon Jr.
“The market is embracing mobile at an incredible rate,” he said in a news release. “Our tight focus in the travel and tourism sector, coupled with an efficient partner-leveraged user acquisition strategy is resonating in a big way.”
Cannon said the new investment from CI provides “added fuel to accelerate our pace and bring on more partners, sponsors, advertisers and event producers.”
