Staples Falls to Glastonbury 7-6 Ending Season

Staples Head Coach Marce Petroccio addresses his team tonight after a heartbreaking 7-6 loss to Glastonbury at Glastonbury in the CIAC Class LL quarterfinals. With 1:09 left in the game, Staples scored but failed on a two-point conversion attempt. “We went for it and came up short,” Petroccio said. “That’s football. But that’s the way we wanted to go out. We were going to go out doing it the way we wanted to do it.” Staples ended the season 9-2. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed photo
