Staples Boys Soccer Stuns Fairfield Ludlowe

Teddy Lawrence (r) today scored the game-winner, and Spencer Daniels (l) added another, as Staples’ boys soccer team shut out Fairfield Ludlowe 3-0 at a rainy Wakeman turf field. Tyler Wright added the third goal, while Daniel Perez Elorza (2) and Graham Gudis notched assists. It was a huge win for the Wreckers, who used tremendous defense from Kenji Goto, Josh Berman and keeper Noah Schwaeber to stun the defending FCIAC champs. Staples is now 6-1-1, and hosts Norwalk on Monday at 4 p.m. at Loeffler Field. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Armelle Daniels for WestportNow.com
