Greenwich scored once in each half to edge the Staples boys team 2-0 away today.
The loss drops the Wreckers to 7-5-2. The Cards are now 10-2-1.
“Greenwich is a bigger, physically stronger team, but we never backed down,” said head coach Dan Woog.
“Now we’re shifting our focus to the final regular season game (at Brien McMahon, 7 p.m. Wednesday) and then the state tournament.
“That’s a whole new game. You take it one match at a time—anything can happen, and often does. If you make your mark in states, no one remembers the FCIACs.”
