Sally White of Sally’s Place Honored on Store Closing

Westport First Selectman Gordon Joseloff today presented a commendation from the Town of Westport to Sally White upon the closing of her store, Sally’s Place, a Main Street haven for jazz and blues music lovers and musicians since 1985. The commendation was made “in recognition of her long-standing dedication and outstanding service to the citizens of Westport and to music-lovers everywhere.” White, who said she was “overwhelmed” by the honor, was unsure whether today or Friday would be her last day.
