Restoration Hardware wants to expand its 11-year presence in Westport’s center in the former Fine Arts Theatre building to the next door Old Westport Town Hall for sale of outdoor furniture. The Westport Historic District Commission will hold a pre-application session on Tuesday for proposed outdoor display plans by the company in the 1909-built building at 90 Post Road East. The plans include a fenced-in outdoor area for furniture with fountains that would be open to the public. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed photo

How about changing it back into a theater? God knows, we really could use one.
I’m not a big RH fan. I think their merchandise is over priced and low on utility. Frankly, I am surprised they are doing well enough to expand. But it is a classy outfit and would look good in the Old Town Hall space. At least it’s not another bank.
How totally ridiculous and a complete waste of such a beautiful and historically significant space.
What about a Starbucks?
