Renovations to the state-owned eastbound station house at Metro-North’s Westport station in Saugatuck are complete and the town is preparing to welcome bids from taxi companies, car rental companies, coffee shop operators, dry cleaners and anyone else interested in taking space there, according to Deputy Police Chief Foti Koskinas who also serves as director of railroad operations. Westport Taxi, whose lease was not renewed pending the bidding process, continues to operate at the station and has taken office space nearby. Saugatuck Taxi also continues to operate there. Koskinas said they and anyone else may apply for space in the renovated facility. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com

An indoor waiting area for north bound passengers would be nice.
Eastbound!
During the renovations, Liza, who knows what could have happened, whole building could have been flipped on its ear. Maybe, they’ll get a compass weathervane for the roof so we’ll all know where we’re going 🙂
Most importantly, I do hope the space is rented, quickly.
