Preservation Award Winner: 8 Charcoal Hill Road

The house at 8 Charcoal Hill Road is among eight recipients of the Westport Historic District Commission (HDC) 2017 Preservation Awards to be presented in a Town Hall ceremony on Monday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. The HDC said the award will be presented to owners Jamie and Sam Febbraio. The HDC said, “The house, designed and built by the iconic architect Frazier Peters c. 1927, suffered from severe neglect before the Febbraios bought the house in 2015. The Febbraios, who did most of the work themselves, meticulously restored the residence to its original form, adding 21st century amenities to create convenience and operating features.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
