Preservation Award Winner: 79 Kings Highway North

A house at 79 Kings Highway North is among nine winners of the Westport Historic District Commission (HDC) 2016 Preservation Awards to be presented in a Town Hall ceremony on Monday at 7 p.m. The HDC said the award will be presented to Laura and Cormac Treanor, owners of the house, known as the Charles Cutler House, circa 1920. The HDC cited the owners for their example of “how the sensitive reconstruction of a deteriorated historic structure can accommodate contemporary needs while continuing to contribute to the character of the historic district.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
