Preservation Award Winner: 39 West Parish Road

Among the nine winners of the Westport Historic District Commission 2013 Preservation Awards to be presented in a Town Hall ceremony at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 is the house at 39 West Parish Road. The HDC said the award is being given to its owners, Brittany and Jonathan Steel, in recognition of its “rehabilitation of a historic structure.” It added, “The renovation of the house harkens back to the original house built by Silas Sherwood for his wife Sarah, c. 1894.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
