Preservation Award Winner: 383 Greens Farms Road

The barn at 383 Greens Farms Road is among eight recipients of the Westport Historic District Commission (HDC) 2017 Preservation Awards to be presented in a Town Hall ceremony on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. The HDC said the award will be presented to Lawrence Zlatkin and in memory of Maureen Whiteman Zlatkin. Known as the Buckley Barn, c. 1820 the English-style barn was built by Francis Bulkley. The HDC said, “The work was spearheaded by Maureen with the support of her husband Lawrence …  After her death, her husband said that ‘Maureen loved her barn and she was proud to contribute to its preservation for us and for all of Westport.’” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
