Preservation Award Winner: 25 Cavalry Road

A house at 25 Cavalry Road is among nine winners of the Westport Historic District Commission (HDC) 2016 Preservation Awards to be presented in a Town Hall ceremony on Monday at 7 p.m. The HDC said the award will be presented to Kevin M. and Deborah L. Dorsey, owners of the house known as the Alva Finch House, circa 1837.  The HDC, citing the owners for their preservation efforts, wrote “after the owners purchased the homestead for their young family they meticulously restored the house to its former splendor.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
