P&R Director: Golf Improvements Ahead of Schedule

Jennifer Fava, director of Westport’s Parks & Recreation Department, told the Westport Rotary Club today the combined redesign, elimination and addition of the Longshore golf course’s 90 bunkers is running ahead of schedule and will likely be completed before the June 1 target date.  She said additional initiatives include looking at a new park at Old Mill Cove, and authorizing 10 parking spaces requiring parking emblems along the water side of Hillspoint Road for the May 1- Sept. 30 period.
