Arthur Miller, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright whose most famous fictional creation, Willy Loman in “Death of a Salesman,” came to symbolize the American Dream gone awry, died Thursday night at his Roxbury, Conn., home. He was 89. Miller was featured speaker in November 2003 at the Malloy Lecture at Westport’s Saugatuck Elementary School sponsored by the Westport Public Library and the Westport Arts Center. 1. Back in the early 60’s Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe stayed in my neighbor’s house at 31 Old Mill Rd. At that time it was a rooming house and others such as Wally Cox, of Mr. Peepers fame, stayed there.
