Part of Westport

WestportNow.com Image
A portion of a house at 100 Beachside Ave., which sold last March for $14.6 million in Westport’s most expensive real estate transaction, came down today. A demolition application specified that only part of the 1929 main house on the property would be demolished. Parts of the structure were updated and expanded in 1980 and 1984. The property—actually two parcels at 100 and 102 Beachside Ave.—covers 4.3 acres and contains a gate house, tennis court, two swimming pools (one indoor and one outdoor) and a 228-foot private beach.
