Overflow Crowd for Choral Festival

An overflow crowd attended tonight’s annual Westport Public Schools Spring Choral Festival concert at Staples High School. Led by guest conductor Jon Noyes, director of the Fairfield County Children’s Chorus, approximately 400 elementary school children completed a vocal repertoire that included renaissance, spiritual and folk music selections, according to David Winer, K-12 supervisor of music for the Westport Public Schools. The festival included not only the combined elementary school choruses, but also Bedford and Coleytown Middle Schools’ select Camerata Choruses, and the Staples Orphenians select choir.
