Outdoor Musical Treat

The dress code was casual. The musicians wore jeans, and the audience sat in beach chairs and on blankets while munching picnic dinners. The scene looked a lot like a concert at Tanglewood in Lenox, Mass. But it was the courtyard at Staples High School which Tuesday hosted its first outdoor “Pops-like” concert. The enthusiastic crowd was treated to musical numbers by the Freshman and Symphonic Orchestra, the Freshmen Chorus and The A Cappella Choir.
